Welcome to what will be the last Parish report for 2017. Hasn’t this year gone quickly!

So, what’s been happening around our village since our last report?

To keep you up to date with the two main planning applications around the village, one off Olney Road by Gladman Land and one to be accessed via The Glebe, both applications were originally refused and both have been appealed. There have also been subsequent re applications for these developments. No decisions have been reached with regards to these applications at the time of writing but we will publish any updates on the website and social media as they happen.

As we sit here well and truly into the summer months this is my first Parish Council report as your new Chairman, having taken over from David Tomkins. This also allows me to thank David for all his hard work on behalf of the parish and residents of Lavendon. David is still a parish councillor so we have the benefit of his knowledge going forward.

So, what’s been happening since our last report. Quite a bit in fact.
Welcome to the Springtime and longer evenings. As ever, it has been a busy time for our Councillors with Planning being the predominant subject for us.
Welcome to all of you to 2017 which promise to be another busy year for your councillors.
In this, our last newsletter of the year it gives me great pleasure in welcoming Ann Kelcey to the Parish Council and she completes a triumvirate of Northampton Road councillors. It is also appropriate that we remember Dave Deacon, who died suddenly at a tragically young age on the 3rd October. Dave was a parish councillor for a number of years and brought a great sense of warmth and fun to our meetings. Our condolences go to Clare, Henry, Scarlett and Edward.
We should be in the height of summer but we could be fooled into thinking that this is an autumn report, perhaps we will have a summer yet!
